A Virtual Symposium of the Department of Medical Physiology Comes to an End that Consolidating Positive Thoughts in the Subconscious Mind of Students is One of the Inevitable Necessities
The annual scientific symposium of the Department of Medical Physiology entitled “Physiology is the structure of medicine” which was held on Thursday evening, 4th November 2021discussed the impact of stress and psychological pressure on human health, the way to eliminate and reduce it, and ways to prevent it. It also discussed the hormones of happiness and the hormones related to it and the means of accessing it with the consolidation of positive thoughts in the subconscious mind and the way to use them.
The symposium aimed to introduce the effect of psychological stress, tension and stress on the body’s systems and functions; explaining the meaning of happiness and the related hormones and how to establish good ideas in the subconscious mind in order to consolidate and benefit from it. It also aimed to shed light on the uses and applications of the Internet and benefit from it in the examination and treatment of patients from a distance.
After the opening speech of the Head of the Department, Assistant Prof Dr Afraa M. Al-Amin, the scientific session of the symposium was began under the chairmanship of the Assistant Prof Dr Sajida S. Al-Chalabi. It consisted of four lectures: the first one for the Head of the Department, the Assistant Prof Dr Afraa M. Al-Amin entitled “How Stress Can Make You Suck”. The second lecture for the Lecturer Dr Zayd Q. Al-Atrakji entitled “Happiness and Hormones”. The third one for the Lecturer Dr Rajaa A. Younis entitled “Brain and Mind”, and the final lecture was for the Assistant Lecturer Yahya S. Al-Halima entitled “Internet of Things in Medicine”. There was much time for submitting questions, discussions and interpositions by the attendees.
The symposium was held virtually under the auspices of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision and presence of the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed. It was also attended by some members of the college council and tens of academic staff, researchers and interested people from the Kingdom of Jordan and from various Iraqi universities such as Mosul, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Kufa, Tikrit and others, and a number of specialized doctors.
