The College of Medicine Attends and Participates in the Symposium of Nineveh Health Directory on the Occasion of World Diabetes Day

Under the patronage and presence of the Director General of Nineveh Health, Al-Wafaa for Glands, Deafness and Diabetes Centre held its annual scientific symposium on Friday, 12th November 2021. The symposium included two scientific sessions with seven scientific lectures. The College of Medicine had an active presence and contribution to the success of the symposium through the presence of the Scientific Deputy-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim. The Lecturer Dr Muhammad H. Al-Saati from the Department of Medicine, and the Lecturer Dr Wael Th. Younis, gave their lectures entitled “Diabetes and Kidney Diseases” and “Diabetes and Covid”. Also, the postgraduate student (PhD/ Department of Pharmacology) a specialty pharmacist, Labeeb H. Abdullah, gave his lecture entitled “Metformin and Our Life”.

The symposium was attended by a number of specialized doctors in Nineveh Governorate. Holding this activity at this particular time coincides with the World Diabetes Day which falls in mid-November of each year.
