The College of Medicine Attends the Central Celebration of the University on the Occasion of the Centenary of Founding the Iraqi Country and Victory Day

Under the patronage and presence of the President of University of Mosul, Prof Dr Qusay K. Al-Ahmadi, the university held its central celebration to mark the centenary of founding the Iraqi country in conjunction with the anniversary of Victory Day on Thursday 9th December 2021. The celebration was attended by the Governor and Mayor of Nineveh Governorate, members of the University Council and security leaders in the province. On the part of the College of Medicine, University of Mosul, it was attended by the Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, representing the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed.

The celebration began with the Holy Qur’an, the national anthem, the university’s speech delivered by the Scientific Vice- President and the governorate’s speech, and a lecture on glimpses of the history of the Iraqi state. The celebration also included playing the flute, a poetry reading by Dr Walid Al-Sarraf who flirted of Mosul Al-Hadbaa and its university, and other celebrations.
