College of Medicine Attends and Participates in the Symposium of Mosul Centre for Arab Board on the Developments of Covid 19

Under the patronage and presence of Director of Mosul Training Centre for Health Specializations (Arab Board), the consultant doctor Dr Rafea H. Al-Qazzaz, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, the centre held its scientific symposium on the latest developments in the treatment of Covid 19 on Sunday 12th December 2021.

In the symposium, the treatment protocols of corona patients were discussed. It reviewed the latest global developments in this field compared to the protocol in Iraq. New methods of prevention were also discussed (such as vaccines as a model) especially with regard to the third dose.

The symposium aimed to identify the latest developments and developments in treatment and prevention in order to reduce this epidemic.

It concluded that taking the vaccine in the first place and adhering to the preventive measures will reduce the epidemic, leading to its final eradication.

The symposium consisted of two scientific sessions alternately presented by a number of specialists, including the Assitance Prof Dr Rami M. Al-Hayali who gave his lecture entitled “Management of Covid-19.”

The symposium was attended by the Head of Nineveh Branch of the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate, and a number of teaching staff from the colleges of medicine at Universities of Mosul and Nineveh as well as dozens of doctors from the Nineveh Health Department.
