College of Medicine

The Dean of the College of Medicine (Chairman of the Accreditation Committee), Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, chaired the first meeting of the Accreditation Committee for the academic year 2021-2022, on Sunday 19th December 2021. The Dean kindly gave his directions to continue writing the self-evaluation report of the college. In the meeting, some issues related to the requirements of accreditation were redistributed to the new members of the committee. It was also agreed to form nine sub-committees headed by the issues officials in the committee in addition to supporting committees which has the responsibility of writing a self-assessment report. On the other hand, electronic workshops will be held later in which the college’s assessors accredited by the National Council will present the experiences gained from the courses held by the National Council for the Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq. In addition, other workshops that will be conducted by the issues officials to clarify the work plan for writing the report. The meeting was attended by the Scientific Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and the Director of the Quality Assurance Division, the Lecturer Dr Ahmed A. Ahmed as well as other members of the committee.
