Discussing the Research of the Iraqi Board (Mosul Centre) in Haematology on the Evaluation of Haematological and Chemical Changes in Covid-19 Patients in Nineveh Governorate

The student of the graduation thesis of the Iraqi Board (Mosul Centre) in Haematology, Saba A. Sultan, discussed the assessment of haematological and chemical changes in Covid-19 patients in Nineveh Governorate on Thursday, 10th February 2022.

The aim of the research was to assess the haematological and chemical changes in covid-19 patients and their relationship to the severity of infection.

He concluded that the significant effect is due to the history of the disease and chemical variables and their relationship to the severity of infection and the increase in the mortality rate.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof Dr Khalid N. Al-Khairo (chairman), Assistant Prof Dr Nadwa S. Al-Ezzo (member), consultant physician Dr Sadil O. Al-Shabakhoun (member), and Prof Dr Mona A. Kashmoula (member and supervisor).

Part of the discussion was attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, University of Mosul, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, and the Scientific Vice-Dean, Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim as well as a number of postgraduate students.

After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read include accepting the research with the necessary amendments being made.
