The Department of Medical Physiology held the annual symposium headed by the respected Prof Dr Afra’ Al-Amin within the continuous education program on Tuesday, 17th May and in the forum hall and in the presence of Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, and Assistant Lecturer Dr Karam T. Tawfiq, the Vice- Dean for Administrative Affairs, and the two ladies each from the Dean of the College of Environment and Science. A number of heads of departments and a group of teaching staff from the College of Medicine and Nineveh College of Medicine were also attended in addition to a number of doctors from outside the university.The symposium dealt with the following topics” hormones of happiness”, “the role of leptin in bone metabolism” and various other topics. The symposium aimed to promote regular exercise to maintain health and the need to exchange data in the medical fields and the possibility of using the Kama knife machine in the treatment of tumours.
