The doctoral student, from the Department of Pharmacology, Abeer A. Hassoun, discussed her thesis entitle” The Possibility of the Toxic Effect of Metformin on Cells.. Old Drug in a New Application”, on Sat.,8th Oct. 2022.The session was chaired by Prof Dr Imad A. Thanoon, Head of the Dept. of Pharmacology, College of Medicine in addition to other members specialist in pharmacology, namely Prof Dr Kawa F. DahZee, from the College of Medicine, University of Hawler, Prof Dr Hussamaldin S. Al-Najjar, from the College of Medicine, University of Tikrit, Prof Dr Zena A. Abdulmajeed, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, University of Mosul , and Prof Dr Zaid M. Yasin, Department of Community Medicine , University of Mosul.The thesis was supervised by Prof Dr Issam H. Mahmoud, from the Department of Pharmacy, University of Al-Noor.The discussion was attended by the Vice-Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Prof Dr Humman Gh. Ibrahim Zubeer and other members of teaching staff interested in scientific matter.The student defended, in her discussion, the topic of her research and answered excellency all the questions posed by the debaters who expressed their admiration for the sobriety of the research and the keenness of the supervisor and the student together on scientific accuracy and honesty.Finally, the student got the grade of excellent for her thesis.
