A Professor from the Department of Pediatrics Participates in the Master’s Thesis Discussion Committee in the College of Nursing

In the College of Nursing, a master’s thesis presented by the student Omar Kh. Khaled was discussed, entitled “The impact of the information booklet on nurses’ knowledge of hepatitis B and C among children in the children’s hospitals in the city of Mosul” on Wednesday, November 11th 2020. The discussion committee consisted of Prof Dr Salwa H. Al-Mukhtar (Chair), Assistant Prof Dr Nashwan M. Al-Hafez (Member), Lecturer Dr Saad H. Murad (Member), and from the Department of Pediatrics, College of Medicine, Assistant Prof Dr Mazen M. Fawzi Al-Sarraf (member and supervisor). The study examined viral hepatitis as being a global health problem affects millions of people annually causing them disability and death. It aimed to assess the nursing staff’s knowledge of the aforementioned disease, with its types B and C, and to find out if there is a relationship between the results of the post-test and the selected demographic variables or not. After the discussion, the committee’s decision was read included accepting the thesis after making amendments to it while granting the student a master’s degree.
