The Prof Dr Nashwan Q. Mahjoub, from the Department of Surgery, got a certificate of affiliation with the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) in 2021. The aforementioned federation (formed in 1995) now consists of 66 national societies including Iraq, which brings together surgeons, health and nutrition specialists, psychologists, internal medicine and anaesthesiologists who participate in the treatment of obese patients. The deanship of the college and its associates congratulate him and wishing him continued success.
