In the presence of a group of teaching staff in the Colleges of Medicine at Universities of Mosul and Nineveh, and with the support of the Acino Pharmaceutical Company, the scientific symposium titled: “Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Hypertension” was held electronically on Friday, 4th September 2020. The symposium was started with a lecture of the Medical Department teaching staff at the College of Medicine assistant Prof Dr Diaa Abdel-Qader Al-Hamdani, entitled: “Calcium Channel Blockers in Hypertension”. It was followed by a second lecture given by a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Nineveh University, and then a lecture by the representative of the company supporting the symposium. After that, it was allowed for discussion and questions and interventions that were answered by the two lecturers. Also, a number of specialized doctors from the Nineveh Health Department were among the attendees.
