Mission

Ensure the application of quality systems and standards to enhance the College’s capabilities and improve its performance.

Objectives

  1. Implementing quality standards and plans issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research or the University of Mosul.
  2. Establishing quality standards, criterions and foundations for all academic and administrative systems and activities within the college.
  3. Disseminate quality culture among all employees in the college.
  4. Raising the quality of academic programs and graduate level.
  5. Raising the level of interaction between the college and the community.
  6. Completing the program accreditation requirements of the College’s academic programs.
  7. Prepare the College’s laboratories according to local and international quality requirements.

About the Division:

It was decided to establish (University Performance Division) at the University Presidency and (University Performance Unit) at each College in the University from the academic year 2008-2009. According to the University Order No. 1/8/8736 of 11/6/2008, according to the order of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Supervisory and Scientific Evaluation Authority/No. TD/1560 of 5/6/2008.

 

The University performance unit was formed according to the administrative instruction No. 2583 on 23/7/2008

 

According to the order of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. 16,277 on 26/5/2010 and reported under the order of the Presidency of Mosul University No. 9/82/9420 on 31/5/2010, the University Performance Unit was converted into the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division.

 

 

According to administrative order No. 3392 of 11 July 2010, the Division was established in the College. The structure of the Division was redefined according to administrative order No. 314 of 11 January 2011 to include three units:

  • University Performance Unit
  • Quality Assurance Unit
  • Documentation and Archiving Unit

 

The Medical Education Development Center has been included in the Division of University Performance, the dissolution of all the committees associated with it and attaching the work of the centers to the Quality Assurance and University Performance division, accordance to the administrative order No. 288 on 11/1/2011.

On the basis of the order issued by the department of Quality Assurance and University Performance on 16 January 2013, No. 9/82/899, entitled “Implementation of recommendations”, the Division was linked within the College’s organizational structure to the Dean on 7 February 2013.

 

The Division became composed of the following units according to the administrative order No. 2186 on 24/4/2019:

  • Quality Assurance Unit
  • Performance Evaluation Unit
  • Accreditation of laboratories (laboratories quality)
  • Technical Support Unit

 

Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division’s functions:

Functions of the Performance Evaluation Unit:

  1. Completion of the teaching staff’s performance evaluation file for the academic year starting from 1/9 and until 31/8
  2. Completion of the employees’ performance evaluation file for the academic year from 1/1 to 31/12
  3. Issuance of certificates for confirmation on the grades of evaluation for teaching staff for the purpose of promotion, addressed to the Scientific Promotions Unit.
  4. Follow-up of the electronic evaluation system by constantly updating data, research and various teaching activities.
  5. The management of the process of completing the evaluation, according to the file containing (Regulations, instructions, directory, paper and electronic forms) issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus /Quality Assurance Department/Performance Evaluation Department under the supervision of the university’s Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at the beginning of each academic year and auditing evaluation files and completing the required certificates.
  6. Any other duties according to the requirements of the Division, College, University and Ministry.

 

Quality Assurance Unit

  1. Follow up the developing of the teaching staff and employees in the college.
  2. Follow-up teaching staff’s activities at the College.
  3. Completing the institutional accreditation requirements for the institutions of Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  4. Completing the requirements of various national, regional and global ranking system.
  5. Completing the statistics on quality required by the Ministry and the University.
  6. Any other duties according to the requirements of work in the division, college, university or ministry.

 

Training and Technical Support Unit

  • The development of teaching staff and employees through the organization of workshops, seminars and various training courses in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit and the Division of Scientific Affairs.
  • Providing electronic support for the activities and duties of the Quality Assurance Division.
  • Contributing to the auditing of the teaching staff’s research websites.
  • Follow up the updates of the website at the College.
  • Any other duties according to the requirements of work in the division, college, university or ministry.

 

Laboratory Quality Division:

  • Completing laboratory quality requirements.
  • Follow up achieve good lab practice in all laboratories in the college.
  • Complete the process of coding the College’s laboratories.
  • Completion of annual laboratory classification forms issued by the Ministry.
  • Any other tasks according to the requirements of work in the division, college, university or ministry.
