The College of Medicine Council Discusses the Mechanism of Performing the Assessment Exam Approved by the Ministry

The Council of the College of Medicine reviewed the mechanism of performing the assessment examination approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This occurred during the fifth meeting of the council which was held on Sunday, 14th November 2021.

The council discussed promoting two academic promotions, one to professorship and the other to assistant professor. In the affairs of postgraduate studies, a master’s degree in anatomy was granted and approving the discussion committees of postgraduate students in our college. The meeting also dealt with the plan to move to the new building of the college (in the palaces) which is currently underway. The schedule of exams for the second trial of the sixth stage was also approved which is expected to start on December 12th 2021. It was agreed that the duration of theoretical lectures should not exceed 50 minutes only. Some scientific researches were also recorded for a number of academic staff of the different scientific departments as well as other issues and points that were discussed in the session.

The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof Dr Basil Mohammednather Saeed, in the presence of the Scientific Vice-Dean (Secretary of the Council), Assistant Prof Dr Humam Gh. Ibrahim, and Administrative Vice-Dean Assistant Prof Dr Hazim Kh. Al-Allaf in addition to other members of the council.
