College at a Glance

College of Nursing – University of Mosul in 1993 in the building opposite the College of Medicine. It then moved in 1995 to the former College of Pharmacy building near the university printing press in the second campus of the University of Mosul. In 1997, it moved again, and in 2011 it relocated to its current site in the first campus.

Since its establishment, the college has aimed to provide scientifically and academically qualified nursing staff to deliver high-quality health services and to train university-level nursing skills. Its goal is to prepare and graduate advanced nursing personnel who meet the needs of hospitals and educational health institutions in the country, reaching the scientifically recognized balanced ratios of nurses to physicians.

The college is keen to raise the standard of nursing through communication and coordination with colleges of nursing.
