College of Nursing Organizes Scientific Workshop on “Vaccines and Their Impact on Children’s Health” in Collaboration with the College of Basic Education

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Dr. Tahseen Mohsen Hussein, and as part of the college’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the College of Nursing organized a scientific workshop entitled “Vaccines and Their Impact on Children’s Health” for the staff of the College of Basic Education. The workshop comes within the college’s awareness activities aimed at promoting health education and shedding light on important medical issues.

The workshop was presented by:
• Lecturer Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Sultan Al-Wali
• Lecturer Dr. Luay Amjad Mahmoud

The workshop covered multiple topics, including the importance of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases, their role in strengthening children’s immunity, as well as discussing the health and preventive effects of vaccines, the challenges facing immunization programs, and ways to raise public awareness of their importance.

The event witnessed active engagement and fruitful discussions from academic and administrative staff in attendance, who emphasized the importance of continuing to organize such scientific and awareness-raising activities that contribute to improving community health awareness.

This workshop is considered part of the college’s contribution to achieving Goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on “Good Health and Well-being,” in line with the college’s mission to enhance the quality of health and raise public awareness.
