Seminar at the College of Nursing / Department of Clinical Nursing Sciences on Infection Control
The Department of Clinical Nursing Sciences at the College of Nursing, University of Mosul, organized a seminar this morning entitled:
“Infection Control”, presented by Asst. Lecturer Alaa Yousif Aayed.
The seminar highlighted the importance of implementing effective strategies for infection prevention in healthcare institutions, and the role of nursing staff in adhering to safety measures and infection control practices to protect both patients and healthcare workers. It also addressed the latest international protocols in this field and ways of adapting them to the context of local healthcare institutions.
The session was attended by a group of faculty members from the department and included a fruitful discussion on the challenges faced by practitioners in the nursing field, along with practical recommendations aimed at raising awareness and improving nursing practices in infection control.
This activity reflects the College of Nursing’s commitment to strengthening both the practical and theoretical aspects of nursing education, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being.
