A Master’s Thesis Defense

The Master’s thesis, titled “Cyber Power and the Management of Global Conflicts: The Case of China and Japan,” was defended at the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The student, Thabet Ibrahim Mohammed Ramadan, from the International Relations department, presented his thesis under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Mohammed Moyasr Fathi.

The thesis addressed the impact of unprecedented technological changes at the end of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first century, contributing to the fragmentation of power and the expansion of its influence. The study aimed to define the concepts of cyber power, cyber space, and related concepts, along with the concept of managing cyber conflicts, enriching the relevant literature as a solid framework.
