College of Political Sciences

The Times Higher Education (THE) released the results of its 2023 Arab University Rankings, evaluating 207 educational institutions from fifteen countries. The University of Mosul secured the (51-60) rank, following Baghdad University and the University of Technology among 26 governmental and private Iraqi universities included in the ranking.

It is worth noting that the competing universities are assessed based on twenty performance indicators within five main pillars: Teaching (31%), Research Environment (31%), Research Quality (24%), International Outlook (8%), and Community (6%).

Additionally, Iraq achieved the 37th position globally in THE World University Rankings 2024, with 13 Iraqi universities demonstrating their competitiveness and presence in the ranking, which featured 1904 universities from 108 countries worldwide.
