A scientific workshop at our college discusses the scenes of energy competition between international powers and its reflections on the Middle East region

In the presence of the Dean of the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Zaher, and as part of the scientific activities undertaken by the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, the International Relations Department in the college conducted a scientific workshop on Monday, March 4, 2024, titled “Scenes of Energy Competition Between International Powers and Its Reflections on the Middle East.” The workshop included the presentation of a series of scientific papers, as follows:

1. The Role of Energy in Major International Strategies, presented by Dr. Hazem Hamad Musa.
2. Energy Competition and Its Future Outlook in the Middle East: A Vision, presented by Dr. Adnan Khalaf Hamid and Dr. Hasib Saleh Mahdi.
3. Energy Conflicts Among Regional Powers in the Middle East, presented by Dr. Mohammed Moysar Fathi.
4. The Strategic Energy Competition Between International Powers and Its Future Implications in the Middle East: A Future Study, presented by Dr. Marwan Salem Ali.
5. Energy Security in the Turkish Strategy Towards the Middle East, presented by Dr. Jassim Mohammed Taha and Mr. Mohannad Hameed Abbas.
6. The Status of Saudi Arabia in Global Energy Competition: Insights into Key Transformations.
7. Global Energy Competition: An Economic Perspective, presented by Mr. Ziad Abdul Rahman Ali.

The workshop concluded with several key findings, highlighting that the world is experiencing a new transition in the energy market, production methods, consumption, marketing, and transportation. This transition will directly impact the Middle East as a region situated at the heart of the global energy map.
