The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held its scientific symposium titled: “The Russian-Ukrainian War after the Battle of Kursk: Risks of Deterioration and Prospects for Peace”

On Thursday, 17 October 2024, the symposium holds great significance in shedding light on the complexities of this ongoing conflict that is shaking global stability, aiming to enrich strategic understanding of the war’s outcomes and its repercussions.

The event aimed to analyze the geopolitical implications of the conflict, assess the risks of military escalation, explore peace prospects, and examine potential diplomatic solutions.

The symposium was held under the patronage and presence of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tarek Mohammed Tayeb Thahir, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit. It featured nine research papers presented by a number of the college’s faculty members.
