The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Raises a Question in Its Symposium: Does the World Need a New World Order Today?

 The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held a scientific symposium titled “The Obsolescence of the International Order: Does the World Need a New World Order After the Crises of the 21st Century?” on Monday, 28 October 2024.

The topic discussed holds significant importance, highlighting the profound challenges the world faces in the 21st century and the necessity of establishing a new global order characterized by flexibility and effectiveness to address rising crises, such as armed conflicts, climate change, and economic downturns.

The symposium aimed to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the current international system, encouraging dialogue among countries and international organizations to promote cooperation and coordination, while reviewing new ideas and perspectives to enhance global stability and peace.

The symposium was held under the patronage and in the presence of the College Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Tareq Mohammed Tayeb Zahir, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit. It included eight research papers, presented by several faculty members of the college.
