A lecturer from the International Relations Department of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul participates in a workshop on planning and implementing peace-building initiatives in areas recently cleared of displacement organized by the West Nineveh Group
Assistant Lecturer Abdulkarim Zuhair Al-Shammari, from the International Relations Branch of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, participated in a community workshop organized by the West Nineveh Group in collaboration with the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) from 25 – 26 October 2024. His contribution included a lecture titled “Planning and Implementing Peace-Building Initiatives in Areas Returning from Displacement in Western Nineveh.”
The workshop, consisting of four lectures, discussed how to understand community needs for social reintegration and ways to implement initiatives using creative professional tools.
The workshop was attended by administrative unit heads, departments, and stakeholders from the western areas (Tal Afar, Rabia, Zummar, and Ayadiyah).
