College of Political Sciences

On Sunday, 10 November 2024, the Deanery of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held a meeting with first-year students for the academic year 2024–2025. The meeting was led by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Muhammad Tayeb Thahir, accompanied by the Scientific Assistant, Lecturer Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri.

The deanery began by congratulating the new students on their admission, wishing them years of success, excellence, and productivity. Following this, an introduction was given to the discipline of political science, highlighting its importance and role, especially in contemporary life. The deanery emphasized the essential responsibility students should assume during and after their studies by educating, strengthening, and preparing themselves to become pioneers and leaders of society in the coming years. Several success stories were also shared to illustrate this point.

It was also explained that university life differs significantly from high school, as it provides a broad environment for students to showcase their talents and creative abilities, whether cultural, literary, artistic, or athletic. Conversely, university students are also subject to the Student Discipline Law, which ensures justice and compliance with regulations for all. Additionally, the meeting was attended by the head of the Media and Government Communications Division.
