College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Launches Awareness Campaign in Support of the General Population Census
The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul launched an awareness campaign in support of the general population and housing census, starting on Wednesday, 13 November 2024.
On the first day, the college hosted Mr. Nawfal Suleiman Talab, the Director of Statistics for Nineveh, along with his accompanying delegation. The college administration discussed frameworks for cooperation between the two sides to strengthen their mutual efforts, including the upcoming general census scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, November 20-21, 2024. Additionally, a seminar was held to highlight the importance and necessity of the census, as well as to discuss the technical and administrative measures taken over recent months leading up to the census day and beyond.
As part of the campaign, the hashtag #ParticipateInTheCensusForBuildingIraq was launched. Several mobile teams are set to begin outreach activities in the coming hours, raising awareness about the census, its significance for development, and the management of financial and human resources.
The campaign is sponsored by the University President, Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, supervised by the Dean of the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Tarek Mohammed Tayeb Zahir, and involves participation from faculty members, staff, and students.
