The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul organized a student guidance workshop on university bullying and its effects on Tuesday, 26 November 2024.
The workshop, chaired by the unit head, Dr. Shaimaa Nadhim Abboudi, consisted of three lectures delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Saadi Ibrahim Hussein, Assistant Lecturer Raghad Nizar Said, and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Aamel Murai. The speakers addressed how bullies inflict harm on others as a result of lacking responsibility and awareness. They also pointed out that bullies derive great pleasure from causing harm and witnessing others in pain or pleading, which leads to various forms of suffering for the victims, ranging from psychological or social trauma to mild or severe physical harm.
The workshop was held under the auspices of the Dean of the College, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, and targeted the student body.
