The Anti-Violence Against Women Campaign at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Enters its Second Week Successfully with its Fifth Scientific Workshop

The Anti-Violence Against Women campaign at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, has entered its second week successfully, marked by the organization of its fifth scientific workshop on Sunday, 1 December 2024.

The workshop addressed topics such as women’s rights in Iraqi nationality law, verbal abuse against working women, and the phenomenon of violence, discussing its causes, impacts, and ways to mitigate it. The discussions were led by Lecturer Sajida Farhan Hussein, Assistant Lecturer Omnia Ibrahim Khalil, and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Mahmoud, with Dr. Afraa Riyadh Mohammed serving as the workshop moderator.

The workshop is part of a broader campaign launched by the Women’s Affairs Committee, under the patronage of the university president and the supervision of the college dean. The campaign began on Sunday, 24 November 2024, and will continue for sixteen days.
