Dr. Rasha Suhail Mohammed, the Coordinator of the International Relations Department at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, has published a co-authored book titled: “Contemporary Transformations of Power and Their Impact on the Future of National Sovereignty After 2010: Selected Models,” in collaboration with Professor Riyadh Mahdi Al-Zubaidi, on December 2024.

The book addresses contemporary transformations in the concept and applications of power, starting from its traditional foundations and the use of hard power by the state, progressing to the era of soft power, and culminating in the emergence of smart power. It also examines the rapid technological advancements and their role as a decisive factor in a state’s comprehensive power, as well as the implications of these transformations for the traditional concept of sovereignty.

The College’s administration commends this distinguished academic effort and wishes Dr. Rasha and all faculty members continued success and scholarly excellence. May God grant further progress and achievement.
