The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Analyzes the International Scene of Donald Trump’s Second Term Through a Panel Discussion
The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul discussed Donald Trump’s Second Term: A Reading of the International Scene through a panel discussion held on Sunday, 19 January 2025.
The session covered key topics, including the intellectual framework of the Trump phenomenon—its roots and main features, the Middle East in the American strategic perception, and Iraq within the new U.S. contexts. These topics were presented by Dr. Laith Muzahim Khudair, Dr. Ali Bashar Bakr, and Dr. Firas Mohammed Elias. The session was chaired by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri.
The event was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and was supervised and attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Prof. Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Dhahir. The discussion also saw the attendance of the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, members of the College Council, faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
