President of the University of Mosul Issues a Letter of Appreciation to the Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the College of Political Science

The President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, issued a letter of appreciation to the Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the College of Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Salem Ali, on 11 February 2025. This recognition (along with similar acknowledgments for several other quality assurance officials from different colleges) comes as a result of the college securing a place among the top five colleges in preparing for the implementation of the Iraqi national institutional accreditation standards.

Dr. Marwan Salem Ali is one of the distinguished scientific and administrative professionals, as evidenced by:

  • His appointment as the head of the division since September 2020 until now.

  • The college securing second place in the Iraqi university ranking for political science colleges in 2022.

  • The college achieving first place in 2023.

  • The college ranking third in 2024.

  • His membership in a ministerial committee for evaluating the academic and scientific status of political science colleges.

  • His leadership of various committees on quality assurance and the development of the college’s five-year strategic plan.

  • The preparation of the self-evaluation report, the improvement plan, and the successful completion of the improvement process.

  • His role as the managing editor of Al-Rafidain Journal for Political Science in addition to his responsibilities as the head of the Quality Assurance Division.

On this occasion, the college, through its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Dhahir, extends its congratulations to Dr. Marwan Salem Ali on receiving this well-deserved letter of appreciation. This acknowledgment is a tribute to his dedication and generous efforts in serving our country, city, and university. We wish him continued success and prosperity.
