A Faculty Member from the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, participates in a Seminar on the Impact of Technology on Human Rights Organized by the Mosul Technical Institute

The Mosul Technical Institute held its seminar titled “The Impact of Technology on Human Rights” on Monday, 24 February 2025.
The seminar featured a lecture delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hudhaifa Fathallah Ali from the Department of Public Policy at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul.
The seminar aimed to highlight the various levels and impacts of technology in the contemporary era, explore fundamental human rights and how they are influenced by technological advancements, and examine the dual impact—both positive and negative—of technology on human rights.
The seminar recommended criminalizing the illicit use of technology, defining various regulations for the use of technical means, and establishing appropriate mechanisms to ensure that everyone benefits from scientific progress.
The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University and supervised by the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute. It was attended by a group of staff members and students.
