Two Faculty Members from the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, participate in a Guidance Seminar on Human Trafficking Organized by the Mosul Technical Institute

The Mosul Technical Institute held a seminar titled “The Phenomenon of Human Trafficking Between Sharia and Law” on Monday 10 March 2025.

The seminar included two lectures delivered by Assistant Lecturer Hudhaifa Fathallah Ali and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Adel Marai from the Public Policy Department at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul.

The seminar aimed to highlight the extent to which divine laws align with secular laws in combating human trafficking. It also shed light on the legislation that protects human dignity and criminalizes all forms of exploitation to curb this phenomenon.

The seminar recommended the need to reinforce a culture of human rights, enhance coordination among judicial, security, and social institutions, and eliminate all root causes through comprehensive developmental plans.

The event was held under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, supervised by the Dean of the Mosul Technical Institute, and attended by a number of staff members and students.
