College of Political Sciences

The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul launched its campaign on the occasion of National Afforestation Day on Wednesday, 19 March 2025.

The campaign commenced with an awareness-raising scientific symposium chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri, the Scientific Associate Dean. The session began with an introduction to afforestation and its significance in preserving both the environment and human well-being.

The session included three lectures delivered by the Head of the Forestry and Gardens Division at the Mosul Municipality, Senior Chief Engineer Faisal Zayan Mohammed, along with some students from the college. On the sidelines of the event, an awareness video was also screened.

Following the symposium, participants proceeded to various areas of the college gardens, where several saplings and trees were planted.

The campaign aimed to support environmental sustainability, enhance green spaces, and promote scientific and practical awareness in this direction.

The event was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision and presence of the College Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Zahir, along with some members of the College Council, faculty members, staff, and students.
