Active Participation of the Faculty Member from the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, Assistant Lecturer Ansam Saleem Mahdi, in a Scientific Conference Held by the University of Wasit on Intellectual Awareness and the Promotion of Societal Peace
Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University of Wasit held its fourth international intellectual and cultural conference on combating intellectual terrorism and promoting societal peace in Iraq, on Tuesday, 8 April 2025.
The conference aimed to shed light on the dangers of intellectual terrorism, explore means of eliminating it, foster productive intellectual communication between universities and other governmental and civil institutions, reject extremist discourse, and promote the principles of peaceful coexistence among the various segments of Iraqi society.
The conference witnessed the participation of numerous researchers and academics from various universities and research centers. Representing the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, Assistant Lecturer Ansam Saleem Mahdi from the Department of Public Policy participated as a session rapporteur and also presented her research entitled: “The Role of Educational Institutions in Promoting Social Peace and Combating Religious Extremism in Iraq after 2005: An Analytical Study.”
The college administration congratulated this distinguished academic effort, wishing the researcher and all faculty members continued excellence and success in scientific, research, and academic endeavors. May God grant success.
