The Iraqi Academics Syndicate Honors a Distinguished Group of Academic Leaders, Including Faculty Members from the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, in Celebration of Iraqi Academic Day
Under the patronage and hosting of Al-Noor University, the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Nineveh Branch – organized a celebration on the occasion of Iraqi Academic Day, held on Saturday, 10 May 2025. The event was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Higher Education, Professor Dr. Muzahim Qasim Al-Khayyat; the Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Maseer Yassin; as well as the Presidents of the Universities of Mosul, Tikrit, Northern Technical, Al-Hamdaniya, Al-Noor, and Al-Hadbaa. The ceremony also witnessed the participation of several college deans and representatives of the Syndicate in Nineveh Governorate.
From the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, the honorees included: former Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Tariq Mohammed Tayeb Dhahir; the Syndicate representative, Professor Dr. Adnan Khalaf Hameed; Head of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, Assistant Professor Dr. Marwan Salem Ali; member of the Promotions Committee, Assistant Professor Dr. Ziyad Sameer Zaki; retired faculty member, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhameer Abdulrazzaq Mahmood; and the late Assistant Professor Dr. Ban Ghanem Ahmed – may she rest in peace.
The College’s administration extended its congratulations to the honored professors, wishing them and all academic staff continued excellence and success, by the grace of Almighty God.
