The Central Library of the University of Mosul organized an awareness and educational workshop entitled “Climate Change and Its Impact on Iraq” on Tuesday, 13 May 2025. The event was attended by several faculty members from various colleges of the university, including Assistant Lecturer Zainab Adel Mar’i from the Department of Public Policy at the College of Political Science, who participated in her capacity as a member of the Climate Impact Awareness Team.

The workshop addressed the phenomenon of climate change and its negative repercussions on environmental conditions and public health. It aimed to raise awareness regarding climate-related challenges and promote a shift toward clean energy solutions, thereby contributing to the establishment of a sound and sustainable environmental system.

This event was held under the auspices of the President of the University of Mosul and was supervised and attended by the Secretary-General of the University Libraries and the Head of the Quality Assurance Department. It was organized in collaboration with the Continuing Education Division at the Central Library and falls within the framework of the awareness team’s activities concerning energy sustainability, environmental preservation, and climate issues.
