As part of the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being—the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul organized a workshop titled: “Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever: Causes, Symptoms, Transmission, Prevention, and Treatment,” on Sunday, 29 June 2025.

The workshop aimed to raise health awareness regarding this viral disease and shed light on modes of transmission, clinical symptoms, prevention methods, and the importance of early detection and proper treatment.
It also sought to promote a culture of health consciousness in this context, by enhancing understanding of epidemic risks and how to deal with them scientifically and preventively.

The workshop consisted of two lectures, delivered by faculty members from the College of Medicine: Dr. Zeina Maki Al-Youzbaki (Lecturer), and Dr. Suhair Imad Al-Saffar (Lecturer).

The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, and was attended by a group of the college’s academic and administrative staff.
