• The first issue of Al-Rafidain Journal of Political Science was launched in June 2025, through distinguished academic efforts.

• The issue included 15 scientific research papers by researchers from inside and outside the University of Mosul, totaling 425 pages.

• The research topics varied among political elite issues, regional strategies, political thought, and international systems.

• The college’s dean congratulated this achievement, appreciating the efforts of the editorial board and the researchers’ participation and trust in the journal.

By the grace and success of God, the first issue of the first volume of Al-Rafidain Journal of Political Science was launched in June 2025. This issue included fifteen research papers by researchers from inside and outside the University of Mosul, amounting to 425 pages.

The published research covered various topics in political science, such as the role and function of the political elite, regional strategic precautions, political system transformations, Zionist security doctrine, Ukrainian nationalism, Islamic political thought, internal balances in Iraq, development in Germany, women empowerment, the influence of lobbies, Sweden’s accession to NATO, education methods and identity, alliance theories, Japan’s foreign policies, and Saudi-Chinese relations.

The research reflected diversity in research interests regarding theory and practice, local and international aspects, and social and security matters.

The Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul congratulated the diligent efforts of the journal’s staff on the occasion of the launch of the first issue. She also congratulated the esteemed researchers for supporting the journal and their trust in it, appreciating their scientific efforts to enrich the academic arena with solid studies that contribute to deepening political understanding and analyzing current issues with rigorous scientific methodology. The dean wished everyone continued excellence and success in the fields of research and knowledge, and sought God’s guidance and success.
