College of Political Sciences

Dr. Majid Khalaf Shingali, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Health and Environment, conducted a visit to the College of Political Science – University of Mosul on Monday, 7 July 2025. He was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasem Al-Taie.

The visit aimed to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation between the Parliamentary Committee on Health and Environment, and academic institutions in Nineveh Province—particularly the University of Mosul and its College of Political Science. The discussions focused especially on environmental and health-related issues that influence public policies in the region, most notably sustainable development and its seventeen goals. The visit also reaffirmed the Parliament’s commitment to supporting Iraqi universities and enhancing their role in serving society through scientific research and developmental initiatives.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Dean of the College expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the guest for his visit, which reflects the legislative authority’s interest in engaging with academic institutions. He also expressed his hope for continued cooperation that serves the public interest, God willing.
