The College of Political Science Attends a Workshop Held by the Central Mail Division of the University of Mosul on Automation and Electronic Archiving

The Central Mail Division of the University of Mosul held a workshop on the automation of work and the digital transformation toward electronic archiving on Monday, 14 July 2025. The workshop was attended by representatives of the central mail units and email representatives from various colleges of the university.

From the College of Political Science, the attendees included: Assistant Director Jarallah Hamdi Ahmed, Assistant Chief Programmer Waseem Mowafaq Hayawi, Assistant Agricultural Engineer Khalid Mohammed Jajan, and Political Research Assistant Taqa Mohammed Adnan.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce the key mechanisms and units involved in the workflow, as well as the latest technologies used in archiving incoming and outgoing official documents and employee-related files in a way that ensures time efficiency and fast processing.

The workshop addressed ways to find solutions to the challenges faced in this transformation, whether technical, administrative, human, or organizational. It also presented key proposals highlighting the importance of improving the work environment, training and qualifying personnel, and enhancing the technical infrastructure.

This workshop aligns with the directives of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the guidance of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, regarding the necessity of digital transformation in the operations of colleges, centers, and divisions, and the automation of their information systems.
