Co-Authored Book Published by Professor Salahuddin Salim Muhammad of the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, on the Symbolism and Characteristics of Birds in Arab Culture

A new scholarly book has been published by Professor Salahuddin Salim Muhammad, faculty member of the Public Policy Department at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul. The co-authored work, titled “Dictionary of Birds and Their Attributes in Arab Culture: A Thematic Lexicon”, was released in 2025 by Al-Noor Publishing House in Germany.
This thematic dictionary explores the symbolism and characteristics of birds in Arab culture. It presents an objective and scholarly analysis that highlights the role of birds in Arab heritage, examining their forms, behaviors, and symbolic meanings. The book employs a scientific and systematic classification that serves researchers in the fields of language, literature, cultural studies, and anthropology.
This publication represents a valuable scholarly contribution that enriches the Arabic library with a specialized lexicon, distinguished by linguistic precision and thematic analysis.
