The Presidency of the Nineveh Court of Appeal organized the Marathon and Justice Forum, which was hosted at the Grand Theater of the University of Mosul on Monday, July 21, 2025. The event was attended by the President of the University of Mosul, members of university and college councils, and a number of judges. Representing the College of Political Science were the Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jasem Al-Taie, and the Associate Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Subhan Al-Jubouri and Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yaseen. The event was moderated and presented by the Head of the Media and Government Communication Division, Senior Chief Engineer Hasan Younis Abdullah.
Following the official opening, two keynote lectures were delivered on leadership, influence, media presence, and cybersecurity. This was followed by five more lectures presented in a dedicated scientific session.
The forum aimed to promote legal and societal awareness and strengthen the culture of justice within the community. It also sought to highlight the growing risks of cybercrimes—such as blackmail, fraud, and other electronic offenses—and how to prevent them, through expert discussions and specialized lectures that contribute to enhancing cybersecurity and media literacy.
