Director of the Department of Migration and Displacement – Nineveh Branch Visits the College of Political Science, University of Mosul
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals — Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals — the Director of the Department of Migration and Displacement, Nineveh Branch, Lawyer Khalid Abdulkarim Al-Obaidi, paid a visit to the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, on Tuesday, 19 August 2025.
He was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sohaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, and the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Yassin.
The visit aimed to explore prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides, given that the Directorate of Migration is one of the members of the College’s Industrial Advisory Council, as well as to review the implementation of rehabilitation programs for displaced persons and returnees, and to exchange expertise in the humanitarian and administrative fields. It also included discussions on the possibility of organizing awareness programs and joint workshops that contribute to enhancing community awareness of displacement and migration issues, in a way that serves the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthens institutional partnership.
