The Deanery of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul held an extensive meeting with the college’s academic staff coinciding with the start of the new academic year 2025–2026

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals—the Dean of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jassim Al-Taie, chaired an extensive meeting with the college’s academic staff coinciding with the start of the academic year 2025–2026, on Monday, 1 September 2025, in the presence of the College Council members and all faculty members.
The meeting opened with congratulations on the occasion of the new academic year, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the college’s societal role in serving humans and the community, and taking care of students academically and personally. It also stressed the necessity of adhering to the scientific and administrative frameworks issued by the Ministry and the University Presidency to ensure the educational process proceeds according to the highest academic standards.
The meeting highlighted the importance of linking scientific research to community problems and labor market needs, contributing to the development of students’ practical skills and preparing them to face professional challenges effectively. It was also emphasized that each faculty member should publish at least one scientific research paper in indexed journals, as part of the college’s strategy to strengthen its academic presence, ensuring that these efforts align with the Sustainable Development Goals, and focusing on the college’s active contribution to achieving these goals locally, regionally, and internationally, God willing.
