The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Attends a Training Course for the University’s Human Rights Unit Officers

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals—Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals—and under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency, in cooperation with the High Commission for Human Rights / Nineveh Office, organized a specialized training course entitled “The Integrated Roles of Human Rights Unit Officers at the University of Mosul”, starting on Sunday, 5 October 2025.
The course was attended by the university’s senior administrative leadership. Representing the College of Political Science were Dr. Kawthar Hassan Ghazi, Head of the Human Rights Unit, and Assistant Lecturer Abdul Kareem Zuhair Atiyah, a member of the unit.
This course comes within the framework of the university’s efforts to promote awareness of human rights culture and to activate the role of university units in fostering the values of justice and human dignity, in line with the university’s vision to build an academic environment based on fairness and active citizenship.
