The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds a Guidance Workshop on Mental Health
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, organized an educational and guidance workshop entitled “Mental Health: The Foundation of Our Lives” on Thursday, 16 October 2025.
The workshop aimed to enhance awareness of mental health and emphasize the importance of supporting it within the university environment. It highlighted its impact on improving academic performance and social interaction among the college and university members as a whole.
The workshop included a single lecture delivered by the Head of the Unit, Lecturer Dr. Shaimaa Nazim Hammoudi.
The event was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, in conjunction with the celebration of World Mental Health Day, and targeted the college’s academic and administrative staff as well as students.
