College of Political Sciences

In realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, and within the cultural activities accompanying the First International Book Fair and Forum of the University of Mosul, the second day of the event — Monday, 27 October 2025 — witnessed the active presence and participation of the College of Political Science.

On that day, Assistant Professor Dr. Younis Moayad Younis delivered his lecture titled “Education and Its Role in Promoting the Culture of Political Participation in Iraq”, moderated by Lecturer Dr. Firas Mohammed Elias. The session was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah S. Al-Jubouri, a number of the college’s faculty members, and a wide audience of visitors.

The college’s participation aimed to contribute to supporting the university’s intellectual and cultural activities, strengthening its academic role in community service, and enhancing political awareness and democratic culture among students and fair visitors. This participation also reflects the college’s ongoing commitment to engaging with scientific and cultural events that help build a generation aware of national issues and capable of playing its role in public life with a sense of responsibility and knowledge.

It is noteworthy that the college also attended the official opening ceremony of the fair held at the Scientific and Literary Forum Hall on Sunday, 26 October 2025. The fair’s activities will continue until Saturday, 1 November 2025, featuring daily cultural and artistic sessions and open access to all visitors through the Science and Consultancy Gates.
