The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul Holds a Scientific Training Course on Human Trafficking Between Law and Reality

In realization of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal Sixteen: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions; the University Psychological Counseling Unit of the College of Political Science at the University of Mosul organized a scientific training course titled “Human Trafficking Between Law and Reality”, held from 27 – 28 October 2025.

The course discussed topics related to human trafficking (refugees as a model) as a transnational crime and its impact on human security, addressing international dimensions and national responses, as well as the actual situation and legal legislation, and how all of this relates to illegal migration.

The course included four research papers presented by Lecturer Sajida Farhan Hussein, Assistant Lecturer Ansam Salim Mahdi, Lecturer Hadeel Nawaf Ahmed, and Assistant Lecturer Naba’ Ezz Al-Din Mohammed.

The course was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, in cooperation with the two academic departments and the Continuing Education Unit.
