College of Political Sciences

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 4: Quality Education, the Department of International Relations at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, held a scientific workshop titled “Publishing in Classified International Databases: Between the Necessities of Scientific Research and the Choice of Academic Excellence” on Thursday, 30 October 2025.

The workshop addressed two main topics: the requirements of distinguished scientific research and the principles of publishing in classified international databases. It highlighted the importance of publishing in globally indexed journals and encouraged faculty members to adopt modern approaches in writing innovative and original research papers, followed by adherence to the publication guidelines of reputable international journals specializing in political science.

The workshop consisted of two lectures delivered by Professor Dr. Hazem Hamad Mousa, Head of the Department of International Relations, and Professor Dr. Ziyad Sameer Zaki, from the Department of Public Policy.

The event was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, and it falls within the department’s annual plan for the academic year 2025–2026.
