The College of Political Science at the University of Mosul hosted two faculty members from the Faculty of Political Science and Media at the University of Warsaw in a discussion seminar on transparency and misinformation

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals — Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals — the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, hosted Dr. Witold Reptowicz and Mr. Maksym Siger from the University of Warsaw through the seminar entitled “Transparency and Misinformation: The Distortion of Facts through Unregulated Media.” The event took place on Sunday, 2 November 2025.
The seminar aimed to discuss the phenomenon of misinformation and its impact on distorting facts and undermining transparency, as well as the role of media in limiting the spread of false news and promoting the values of truthfulness and credibility in both media and political work.
The session was supervised and attended by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Suhaib Khalid Jasim Al-Tai, and coordinated by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Khairallah Saban Al-Jubouri. Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Saif Al-Din Mahmoud provided translation between Arabic and English. The seminar was attended by members of the College Council, as well as dozens of faculty members, staff, and postgraduate students.
This activity falls within the framework of scientific cooperation between the two colleges at the University of Mosul and the University of Warsaw.
