In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals — Goal 4: Quality Education, and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure — the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Political Science, University of Mosul, organized an awareness lecture titled “Employing Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research within the Field of Political Science” on Wednesday, 29 October 2025.

The lecture addressed the importance of artificial intelligence as a supportive tool in analyzing political data and formulating academic research. It also clarified its applications in monitoring and both quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as how political researchers can utilize it to enhance their research tools and technical skills.

The lecture concluded by emphasizing the importance of raising students’ awareness of the role of AI in advancing political research, encouraging them to use digital tools and smart technologies — particularly in graduation projects and postgraduate studies — and guiding them toward developing statistical analysis skills and effectively using smart research platforms.

The lecture was delivered by the Unit Head, Lecturer Dr. Ali Bashar Bakr, along with Lecturer Dr. Kawther Hassan Ghazi, Assistant Lecturer Ibrahim Ahmed Hassan, Assistant Lecturer Abdulkarim Zuhair Atiya, and Assistant Lecturer Ilham Saeed Qader.

The event was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College and targeted the student body. It falls within the Unit’s ongoing programs aimed at enhancing students’ research skills and strengthening their ability to utilize modern technologies in support of academic studies.
